The role of a radio producer is crucial to the running of any radio programme, maintaining the running fo the show behind the scenes. The role is responsible for all audio content across platforms from ideation to execution. As part of this role, you will be manage a team of broadcasting assistants, presenters, engineers and IT staff to ensure that the whole operation runs smoothly.
Key responsibilities for role:
Generating and researching ideas for programmes
Developing content for both the show and embracing user-generated content.
Briefing and sourcing contributors for programmes
Select music that is relevant to the audience and programme
Managing logistics and operations for the running of programmes including management of the team
Using specific software for editing and producing content i.e. Myriad (training will be provided)
Carrying out editing, interviewing and reporting to make programmes feel seamless.
